A Merry Update from The Digital Traveller Team

Hello Digital Travellers!

Well, it’s been a while, apologies for that. The curse of a small team is that sometimes there aren’t enough hours in the week to update the platform, write new content, and promote it all afterwards. We are doing our best though.

That’s not to say we’ve been entirely distracted.

We’ve had a rethink regarding our Staying Safe (In Asia) series, and subsequently rebranded it as Having Fun and Staying Safe (In Asia). This continues our weekly, contemporary survey of political and security updates in this region that we hope will keep you safer while visiting the continent, but further promotes our other mandate of highlighting some of the best new things to do and places to go.

In the New Year, we’ll be launching our Services. These will be geared towards both Digital Travellers like yourselves looking to get into teaching (CV/Resume Editing, Mock Interview Practice), or travelling abroad (Bespoke Travel Itineraries), as well as companies (Sponsorship, Advertising Space, Copy Editing, Commissioned Articles) and ESL recruiters (Teacher Sourcing). In addition, we’re also working on a few grander publications geared towards those ESL Teachers of tomorrow. There will soon be a Donate mechanism, too, for those who would like to contribute towards the site’s ambitions and future growth.

Besides this, we’ll be promoting our friends and partners, like ESLStarter.com, who have offered Digital Travellers some choice rates for those readers looking to get ahead in the ESL industry, offering very valuable teaching courses at bargain prices (more on this very soon).

And as ever, we are always on the look out for new writers and people who may wish to help The Digital Traveller out in other respects such as a little social media promoting on our behalf. Please do get in touch.

So, with all this in mind, we hope to be back on track with our usual three articles a week very soon. This weekend will see our revamped Having Fun and Staying Safe (In Asia) come out, while Monday will see the recommencing of our Teaching Abroad - In The Know series.

Finally, thank you to everyone who has continued to support our project and those who have submitted some marvellous contributions - they are very welcome indeed!

That’s about it for now, Digital Travellers. Thanks for sticking with us.

The Digital Traveller Team
